Mr. René Mantilla, an accomplished product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, boasts a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in the field of education. Throughout his tenure at M-DCPS, he has steadily ascended the ranks, having served in various capacities including social studies advance placement teacher, school-site assistant principal, principal, executive director, district director, and presently as the esteemed Assistant Superintendent for the Office of Postsecondary Career and Technical Education.
Mr. Mantilla’s unwavering dedication to enhancing adult education and career technical education opportunities for secondary and postsecondary students in Miami-Dade County is commendable. In his capacity, he has played an instrumental role in creating a robust talent pipeline, facilitating upskilling, and implementing innovative programs such as IET (Integrated Education and Training) and concurrent enrollment in ESOL/GED (English for Speakers of Other Languages/General Educational Development) and CTE (Career and Technical Education) classes for SAVES (Student Achievement Via Exemplary Services) students.
